Doing a comparison, riding a YEGO uses half of the energy of a toaster when moving around your city at 50km/h. By including the emissions produced in the warehouse of production of batteries, a YEGO emits 2% of what a car emits while driving in the city. Moreover, almost all part of the motorbike are recyclable, including the battery.
A YEGO motorbike does not directly emit CO2 since it is 100% electric. Yet, some emissions can be calculated based on its life cycle, by observing its emissions from its production to its end of life. This number is very low: 15.4g CO2 per passenger per kilometre.
Yes! All our motorbikes, scooters, and bikes are electric. We also decided from the start to use electric vehicles for all our operations. Our team uses electric vans to change batteries, fix vehicles and organise their availability. Moreover, they are charged with 100% green renewable energy!
Our vehicles are designed and assembled in Europe. We work hand in hand with our partners like EMCO in Germany and Pink Mobility in France to constantly improve our vehicles so that their use may be more comfortable and sustainable.
Our first vehicles are still rolling in cities after 6 years of existence, thanks to our decision to develop 100% repairable motorbikes. Our goal is to reuse or recycle 100% of the vehicles and their spare parts while ensuring high quality and safety. Our specialised mechanics take care of every YEGO you may use to make sure they are always in good condition.
Yes, we do. We have calculated our carbon footprint, assessing the impact of each employee on the environment. This allowed us to develop initiatives and incentives to improve their impact: for example, all our employees can use YEGO for free on their daily rides.
We make our employees aware of the principles of sustainable development through in-house training. We organise events linked to sustainability with a community of committed companies, and often raise awareness on environmental and social issues, with testimonies, challenges and quizzes within the company.
We place our employees at the heart of our strategy and build a respectful workplace together. All Yegers work under contract, and we pay constant attention to their health, well-being and balance. We provide fresh fruit and coffee at the office, and reductions on gym subscriptions.
We are proud of our community’s commitment to strong social and environmental values. Both on our social media and in the app, we try to make more and more people aware of the importance of riding green. Via the YEGO Community Fund, we redistribute part of our revenues from the rides to causes that we care about: solidarity, environment, and security.
Attentive to our community of riders, we have developed solidarity pricing and systems dedicated to the most vulnerable people. At the moment, these special prices are only available in Paris but we hope to offer it soon to other cities. Our inclusive vision also allowed YEGO to have one of the highest rates of female users, around 42%.
